Default Cutting furnace oil tanks

Maybe this should be in the 'un'fabrication section. Although as it may be an unsafe process, (proceed at own risk!!) Inthought maybe it would work here.

I have 3 or 4, 200 gallon steel oil tanks from oil furnaces. They are all going to scrap, but to donso they must be cut open to be accepted by the scrap yards here.

I've always done it before with a sawzall, was wondering about an abrasive wheel instead.

What's everyone's thoughts on the flammability/explosion possibilities or hazards? Stick to the sawzall?

Two thumb typing on a phone, as I never have time to use a computer!
