Default 2017 Midwest SFT Get together business thread.

This is the official thread for communication of information on the thread. I ask that we keep this thread free of chit-chat and just keep it to the basic planning information.

It will be May 27th-29th Memorial Day Weekend.

Bill and I will be there and hosting.

I believe

Toprecycler, Bubba, Chumly, SmokinDodge, JB Fab, welder2005

will be in attendance, please comment on corrections.

Thanks.

I'll plan on heading down Friday afternoon. As soon as you tell me what is needed for the splitter project (or other) I will start procuring what I can.

Is it too early to start discussing food? I would be willing to supply a meal for the crowd.

With this crew? HELL NO!

I plan on bringing lunch (Fajitas, again, ) for Saturday. Since I'll have the trailer I'll bring the smoker and do a Turkey and some ribs for Saturday night.

Of course if anyone has something they want to bring and cook for Sat lunch, dinner or otherwise it's always welcome. I know there is some Eastern seaboard style stuff that is to be hot shotted in for Saturday evening as well that I'm looking forward too......

If your tight on room, I have a smoker here, I can snap a pic if you like to check it out.

Ive also got ample tables, but everyone be sure to bring CHAIRS, I have maybe 5 functioning outdoor chairs, if your picky about chairs, bring one. Otherwise, lots-o-shit laying around to sit on.

I will be home all day on Friday for any early birds. Roll in as early or late as youd like, I will offer dinner to the Friday travelers, to take that off " things to do " list when you get here. If you want to torch your own vittles, by all means. Firewood and grill ready to roll ( Neal's Domain ).

Any non-repeat customers entertaining the dinner invite, the resident chef here at the " Windy Acres National Park Lodge " ( tongue in cheek ) receives accolades constantly for her cooking and she can whip up just about anything you can imagine, that does not contain sea food. Everything is organic or better, gluten free, and made from scratch, LITERALLY. The girl wont make waffles without grinding her own grain to make her own flour first. Stuff like that !
