Was feeding pigs, closing a gate, as I turned around with a bucket in my hand obscuring my vision of where my foot was headed, my foot went into a rut left behind by the skid loader from when I had to go out there one week after about 4" of rain, and the dirt has never " settled " in since. Foot went sideways along the rut, heard a pop, and went straight my ass. Knew right then and there, it was not going to end well.

To add insult to injury, one week to the day earlier, I sprung my right shoulder and compressed my right wrist, while on a " work " job in the suburbs. That was healing up well, but does not mix well with crutches, and my left shoulder that I broke didnt heal up right, so Im a little disagreeable at the moment.

Think the better half, has about had it with me.

Not that I could blame her.

I PLAN to leave around new which puts me at Windy Acres National Fucking Park around 4 ( I think it deserves an acronym - WANFP). That's the plan, plans change, but of course I'm willing to help out. It's the least I can do for the gracious hospitality provided by you and Mrs Windy.

I plan to head out Sunday afternoon, I've got a ton of shit to get done around here.

I think we need to arrange a flight up for our friendly neighborhood Curmudgeon. DFW to ORD is $350

I will be leaving about 10ish. If I stop and see family on the way again, be pulling in around 6-7 Friday night, guessing.

My brother and I will be up Saturday morning. Hope to get there about 8-9ish (even if everyone is still recovering from Friday night).

Anything I need to bring with?

I was kinda expecting a hero story. Those kind of injuries are just a fact of being active. You could save your body by staying in the house, but what fun is there in that. Hoping you heal up without any after effects.

I hear that Windy Acres NFP has increased security at the entrance.

Q: "Do you have any weapons, flammables or dangerous devices that could cause sparks and flames?"

A: Uh, yeah."

"Right. In ya go."
