Default Hypertherm PM 45 XP

I'm going to look (try out) at a new Hypertherm PM 45 XP on Monday morning, the LWS has a demo unit and I have some plate that I want to try it on.

Hi,
You're gonna like it!

Easy to operate, reliable and well made!

I bought a PM 65 a few months ago and finally got all the filters and dryer I wanted on the air supply hooked up last night. I am excited to finally cut something too. Unfortunately, it will probably still be a few days until I have free time and decent weather to stand outside making a bunch of cuts.

I've got a Miller 375 which is great for less beef. But here of late 1/2" and thicker has found it's way in the shop.

Waiting for the run-down...............

Well, I got my setup all powered up and ready to cut and it is getting a fault code saying that the torch consumables aren't installed. I went over the install diagram and watched the DVD that came with the unit and I have come to the determination that the equipment is definitely the problem, not me. I called up Airgas who sold me the machine and it looks like I gotta bring it in for warranty work. If it weren't for the glowing reviews everyone I talk to has for Hypertherm I would be trash talking them all over the place right about now. I will see how they handle the warranty work and luckily none of my projects I bought this for have any deadlines.
