I use it all the time, it is the most common available cast rod around here. Use with pre-heat or cold stitch and peen.
I have been paying $6/rod at the LWS and since I switched to Praxair and they are not local, all my costs have dropped and the NiRod cost is now $3/rod.....still too expensive when we are a huge nickel supplier country.

Last cast weld done for little old me was welding steel ears onto the electric motor casting when I put it into the Lagun mill.

BTW, Jef, the Mugweld site has some special burnt casting rods for exhaust manifolds.

I'll check and get back with this.

Gerry, I checked the site and have some of this rod coming into my LWS, 5lb of each, 77 and the 72.

I have an engine for a 52' MGTD with a cracked head. I've done some checking and will be doing the crack on the side probably with the 72 and for the heads face will be using the Ci powder and flame fix.

We have another thread concerning a few finds members have made with Hot Spray equipment and so figure this would tie in with that thread as well.

Thanks for the nudge fellers. I'm working Friday and Sat so if it comes in I'll have to wait till next week ending.
