Default Surprised

I got some Chinese 6013's 5/32" , $23.00 free post off ebay. Tried them out today, really surprised how well they run, smooth and a good finish, slag came off easy so then tried them vertical up, dropped the amps to75 and they again performed well, wet in at the edges beautifully. For that price they were a bargain.

Clive,
You only tested one half of the rod.

They may weld good, but what about the deposit ?

What is the metallurgy ?

Had all the Lloyds numbers on the packet, made and branded for an Australian importer so it has to meet local specs.
I got them for part of a line of mailboxes I make, I'll use them on the support, I'll get a better finish than the flux core and cheaper than tig.

Local importer to chinaman:
"Harry, these can't be sold here until you stick this piece of paper in the box"

Chinaman: "Where do I get this paper ?"

Importer: "Here, take this good one from some Airco rods, and copy it,
stick it in the box".
