Default Electric Semi

This looks to be a game changer.

Chris, that's a long video, not particularly commercially slick and smoothed out, but it came across, to me, very believable. Using Hydrogen, a renewable, to efficiently charge LI batteries (long cycle, high current) is a master stroke.

I remember reading, 30+ years ago, in a magazine called Mother earth news, about a guy that turned 7 or 8 automotive alternators, with a 5 HP B&S, powering an AC motor, spinning a hydraulic pump, turning 4 Hyd. motors. It was all screwed down in a much modified Opel GT.

All wheel drive, incredible efficiency, neck snapping performance. Another bright light snuffed by the same political-industrial complex that killed Kaiser and tucker et al. (perhaps Nickola has better lawyers)

Imagine the advantage of being able to produce Hydrogen, while underway. There's an engineers wet dream for ya.

I think your pronouncement as a game changer is prophetic.

Neat stuff, thanks for posting

Net payload is still an issue due to battery weight reducing payload weight. Getting close now though.

More reading, not quite as splashy:

There is also an all electric Cummins bus platform and class five truck to be available in 2018.

Time will tell if it was wise

Mercedes is on it too, in fact they were the first, just like they had the first automobile.

Slight bit of a rebuttal from down under (Let's just say he is not impressed by Elon Musk)
