I contacted the firm who employs him to remind them spamming is a bad idea because it's easy to ensure it backfires.

nissenmarkers.com is the company being spammed. Let's look out for more spam and flame the sh1te out of them for doing it.
My thoughts exactly. And in the past I have e-mailed a company spamming,
and in the e-mail, asked if they knew if their "junior intern" was damaging
the reputation of an old line company such as theirs, along with
providing a linky to the offending postings.

Fuck him and the electric car he rode in on!!

The greenest I going to get, is to throw my welding rod stubs into a metal bucket, instead of on the floor.

Like most eco-nuts, he wants YOU to jump through hoops of fire, while at least 40-50% of the world (Asia, Indian sub-continent, parts of South and Central America, Russians and Africa) do as they damn well please, while driving my operating cost through the roof. When they start to give a shit, I'll start to give a shit.

What about coal black smithing? When you first start it up you get this really thick, greenish-yellowish smoke, does that count?

While I don't recall the OP's link content (now gone) I do think that manufacturers large and small as a rule (of profit) work very efficiently. And efficiency directly translates to "green", like it or not!

Just in time manufacturing, not wasting fillers or shielding gas, using as much out of a piece of stock as possible, recycling scrap metal, repurposing scrap piles--all these things help to decrease the use of natural resources and by default make us green...
