Default Yet Again, That New Welder Smell In The Shop

The GNAP, went to the LWS, to pick up some Sigma Green grinding wheels from Rex-Cut Abrasives and drop off a large check for last months purchases, I also ended buy a new cheap welding jacket and a new Miller Maxstar 161. A 120/240 vac, a 160 amp DC welder, 160 amp output on 240 vac, and 95 amps on 120 vac. With a travel case.

The welder comes with a 12’ ground lead and a 15’ stinger lead, I added Tweco disconnects and an additional 20 feet to each lead. I switched the stinger clamp out to a Jackson unit, that I use on all welders and to the smaller Miller ground clamp, again the GNAP standard. I ran a couple of test sticks, a good solid arc, very similar to the larger Miller Inverter welders I own, like the Maxstar 200DX and the Miller 280 CST.

The welder, power cords, the additional leads and the travel case, tips the scale at 31#. I looking forward to using this welder in the future.
