That does not look like the original hour meter which would not come as much of a surprise to me those meters shake apart regularly.

Did you get to run it and check for proper operation?

oh it has been a hen house for sure it is worth as much as the tires are worth but beyond that it is a risk

What voltage are you looking for that unit has a high voltage of 240 v and is reconectable for 120 v 3 Ph from the instruction sheet you posted

So I drove down to discuss the unit with the owner and give it a once over.
He got it from Purdue University Farm, where they used it as a back up
generator. He was there and was buying some surplus cattle equipment,
they said if you take all this you have to take the generator too. He did
not run it I got the same as he did, he had only had it a few days. He was
clear that he had not run it and the batteries were definitely bad. It was a
pig in a poke. He listed it on Facebook for $750. So after a close inspection.
I offered $500 we settled on $600.

So I hooked up to the truck and brought it home. Yes there is a bird nest in
it, and a mouse nest too. I took a buddy of my who has a critical eye for the
electrical end and he did not see anything that scared him much.

I would bet that is the original hour meter.
