Default How to forge a Nail Header (double ended)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THGU6xZL7sA

You guys will be happy.. No 3D..

Anyhow, this is a video about 40min in length showing one method on how to make a nail header for making forged nails..

There will be a follow up video on what you can make with the nail header and the items made were made with the header from the video just a few minutes after the header was finished..

There are time stamps in the description for those that want to just see stuff.. But there are 2 sides and both are forged and punched and finished in the video..

Questions shout out.. Be sure and give it a thumbs up if you like it.. Or a thumbs down if you don't..

People always hate to be the first..

Few blunders... I included.. I was to lazy to walk to the shoeing truck to get the right sized tongs. It came back to haunt me on more than one time... You'll see it in the video..

As always criticism is welcomed.. Enjoy..

Well done Jen. Nice, concise and exacting. Really well done.

Out of curiosity, what is you anvil sitting on? On the video, which may be due to acoustics of your work area, sounds like it sits on a 55 gallon drum. lol I'm sure it's solid though.

edit:::::::::: BTW, I don't pick nits.

Thanks, I'm working on producing more.. A new tong making video is in the works for next week if all goes well.. it takes so long to cut, add titles.. took about 1.5hrs to make the nail header and took like 15hrs to edit everything. By the way only the reheat times were excluded..

All the recent videos have been filmed in the trailer.. The all steel enclosure coupled with the hollow anvil base with the anvil solidly bolted to it leads to that Bassie tone.

And yes the anvil is definitely solidly mounted..
