+1 We got one when we ditched the whirlpool. It's true commercial duty. The only thing missing is the coin slot.

I'm still using a 1958 Maytag, stick shift.(manual switch and timer) I have to admit though, I think the only 1958 parts still in it, are the base and balance weight...still, one tough SOB.

Still using a 1969 Kenmore. Two new pumps, three new belts, a new water valve and rewire the leads to the "Wig Wag". It will be running after the new electronic wiz-bangs have been turned into Harbor Freight s...tuff.

If your SWMBO really wants a front loader, stop by H.F. and the Goodwill stores.

At H.F., buy the large cement mixer, and swing by Goodwill and pick up qty (3)
used bowling balls....

Take home and assemble.

My wife has a GE top loader.....one of those low water use jobs. I think it just distributes the dirt throughout the whole load and doesn't rinse any dirt out. It also makes the most annoying screeching sound when it runs............. POS I'd like to figure out how to get it to use more water.....any ideas?

It should have an adjustment screw/bolt on the water level sensor. All you have to do is dial up the water level. What's the model number so we can get an idea what the switch/sensor looks like?

Hate em. Never again.
