Default td-9 known as Kijiji

i bought the td-9 known as Kijiji back in 2011, now it was time to move him up to the shop to be worked on. for some reason the tracks were locked up for the first 40 feet. oh well just drag the cat like taking a real cat to the vet.

it will be a weekend project to fix the final drive on this td-9. plus the d6 9u sounds so sweet doing a good pull since the engine was under water for 3 years.

Joey, it's very unusual for you to post a Cat repair thread down here in Off Topics. Is there a reason for that (such as wanting to keep it out of public view) or did you post it here without noticing?

Hook this thread to the Forksnatch and drag it over to fabrication.

Hey , looks like the new kubota excavator is coming in handy. How did you ever get along without it? Lol.

Great to hear that old submersed engine is still going strong.

thansk for the move cutter.

today was a another hot day, they have us under a heat advisory so i have both AC units going in the house with the windows open a bit too. i live in fear of the AC because i get a head cold. i have been very lucky and not had a cold or the flu in over a year. at my age that is a good thing.

today i popped both steering clutchs out of Kijiji and used the mini "hoe" to carry them over to the work bench in the new shop that has the compression stand for pressing them down to release the tension. i then hauled the replacement pieces back out of the IH cat shed which is part of the new shop. like i say i ride the mini "hoe" not operate it, lol.

with the final drive a part and wearing my muscle shirt less the muscle, i did some up hand and over head welds in the heat of the day of +30c. then by 10:30pm to night the final drive was all back togther and will weld the frame back on and re-install the steering clutches. once that is done then pop the tracks back on.

the little mini "hoe" is nice because i don't have to climb up and down, just pull the safety lever and stand beside the machine to work the levers and guide the pieces in to place. i'm glad i bought the machine instead of spend the money foolishly on women, lol.

thansk
