Once you get to the requirement for a QC tool holder The initial price is not nearly as important as the easy availability of extra tool holding blocks.

I have two of my lathes fitted with identical Aloris Knock off tool posts to give me a larger selection of blocks.
With a little machining I got both lathes to use the same holder settings so everything works on both machines then I bought a few more holders ........ Last year vI was at a tool place and they had a set that had been opened and the box was destroyed.
The tool guy said make me an offer so I looked at it and said there are 3 really usable holders.
I do not need the knurling holder or the cut off holder or the boring block holder so how about $45
so I have some more blocks that can be modified or adapted as the need arises
and a spare tool post in case I acquire another lathe.

Yep, and I quoted you, with your link, said that I have one and endorsed it for mini-lathes.
At that time, I inquired about about buying an AXA from another dealer who told me it wouldn't fit and he directed me to the manufacturer of that Little Machine Shop toolpost, A2Z CNC, in Colorado.
The only problem with them is they didn't have a decent t-nut; the one that shipped with mine was circular and aluminum. That meant that the lips that run in the compound slot were like tiny half-moon keys - not much engagement, even for a mini-lathe.
So I made a steel t-nut.
