John, I have those in hand, and it is very difficult to mount a turnip diode onto that unit, as it has a 5/8 fine thread stud. They are very effective but would be mangled drilling a hole in the center for the stud.

That is why I use single cylinder air cooled aluminum heads from lawnmowers or such. Ample mass, easy mounting, and has fins and holes to bolt the cables to.

On the AC welder I converted to DC I just used simple aluminum plate to mount the diodes to. Checked it after several minutes of continuous welding and they weren't even warm. Use a heat sink adhesive too as it will conduct the heat transfer much better.
