The shop that I work in has 4' florescent lights that are OK but not great I was at a local store (ocean state job lots) they had a skid load of 4' led lights for $20.00 each they draw 48 watts, are rated at 4,000 lumens, 5,000 kelvin brought one in to show the owner he stated that a co. had come in with a quote to replace all the tubes with led's $20,000.00 I told him spend $1,000.00 and get 50 of theses lights, he was amazed with how bright this light is, I didn't warn him when he turned it on and he was looking at it, it's intensely bright, the welder made a bracket for the lathe that I operate to hang the light from WOW is it nice to be able to see clearly what you're doing. I put 1 in my garage to come on when the door is opened again WOW.

Maybe that was then.

If it is a legitimate business have your boss contact the company that supply's his electricity, on the west coast they have been replacing lights and fixtures for free also free window tenting.
The option is build new power stations or lower the demand in power.

The 60w home LED bulbs have been showing up at $1.00 to 25 cents in the stores.
