Default Painting hot rods

My boy and I painted the hood on his mustang a few weeks ago. Not without flaws, but I have seen worse out of proportion shops.
One of my buddies is painting his Torino today so I asked if Ian could come and watch/help. He has him shooting color.

Over the years I spent a good deal of time working with body work and paint on the pre-war metal, but do not find much joy in it any more.

It's one hell of a craft to master if one can. Satisfying the customer is a whole nuther story.

Pat the Son on the back for me for giving it a go.

I need to paint some doors for my truck. If I do ok with that, I may just spray the whole cab. Its got a nice 15ft paint job, I'd like a 5footer!

KoO has the same idea.

Andy, good for you for teaching the boy that anything is possible. He will always know that if it costs too much he can do it himself.

There is no substitute for experience except experience. Good for you for letting him make his own mistakes and good for your friend for allowing him the opportunity to make mistakes on his car.
