Default Well I Almost Made It

I went to the LWS's open house between jobs yesterday, 50 distributors showing and hawking their wares, and I was there for over an hour and bought absolutely nothing. Much to the horror of the sales manager of the LWS. I missed the food, as I was there too late. Today I went back to get a pulled pork sandwich (or two) and made a quick sweep of the booths, and was almost out the door, then a display caught my eye. I almost made it, I really did. So in about 2 weeks, I'm taking delivery of a Jancy RadiusMaster, model# RAM 1000, a 3600 sfm 2" x 48" belt sander, that has a pivoting head that has 3 built in raduis rollers, a 1", 1-1/2" and 2". It has a 1-1/2 hp motor and weight about 150#, with the show special price, free freight and a few extras, its going to be about $1600.

Let's see $1600 @ $1/wk equals ?????a long time. Damn Jack, it looks nice. I am glad we are moving to a bigger shop. I don't think we have the floor space for this. It should be a speed and setup improvment though. We need real photos when you get it. I would like to see the other side. BTW Girz is having a tent sale soon.

There's an antidote for that. It's called a girlfriend.

Just another tool to add to the itemized tool inventory list for his insurance agent. The same one that says that Platypus 20 has too many tools!

Hmm, have you changed insurance agents in the last few days?

I bet they would feed you every day for an $800.00 per sandwich sale.

Jack, 175 people are so stunned that they can't say anything. I have not heard of the brand here but we are about 1/4 century behind and I know you have already bought a mag. drill from them.

I can't say much about the machine you bought as I have never seen one or seen one work. It appears to be very high quality and well made. I am not too worried, you know what it is and does. Just make sure we get real photos when you get it and especially the right end.

You are almost an independent as your company really can't keep up with you, only the result of your being there. You gotta have the largest tool budget of anyone on SFT.

Not even close, I'm just very lucky that the owner I work for, likes to do as much as possible in house, he hates to pay other people for stuff we can do. He is more than willing to pay for the equipment, then allow me to buy it from him, by making parts for him with the tools.

Jack beings that I've been to your place before I know that you must be looking for some room to place this acquisition so I would be more than willing to come up yonder way again and relieve you of some space hogging equipment again just to help out of course

It's just beautiful, Jack! I just recently saw a video of what machines like that can do and I'm sure it'll pay its way in your shop. Congratulations!
